Museum Passes

Museum passes are provided to Ulster County residents through the generosity of the Ulster County Legislature, Ulster County Libraries, and Friends of Library Groups. We are pleased to offer passes to select local attractions available for borrowing by Mid-Hudson Library System Card Holders or Ramapo-Catskill Library System Card Holders (Wallkill, Gardiner, Ellenville, and Cragsmoor), ages 18 years or older, with a valid library card in good standing. [Please note: Library cards obtained digitally are excluded.]  Each museum determines the rules and regulations governing the use of its museum pass. We strongly recommend that you call or visit the destination’s website to confirm their policies and hours prior to your visit. Passes typically exclude special exhibits or events. The libraries assume no responsibility of any kind arising from the terms of a museum pass.

Print from Home
Passes may be reserved up to thirty days in advance and can be printed from home or at the library. Some museums also accept passes displayed on a phone. The pass will only be valid for the date of visit listed on the confirmation page, so request the pass for the day you wish to use it. These passes are marked closed for the days when the museums are closed. These passes do not need to be returned.
How to Make a Reservation
From this webpage, select the destination and click to open up to see the full description. Make sure you read the description as the instructions for each museum vary slightly. At the bottom of the description, click on “Request Pass” to open into the reservation system. You can make a reservation up to 30 days in advance. Use the calendar to select the date that you wish to visit the museum.

Once you have selected the date, click “Request Pass” and you will be prompted to enter your library card barcode and pin (password). Once you’ve completed the reservation, an email confirmation will be sent to you. For Print on-Demand passes, select “Print Pass” to print from home to bring to destination on date printed on pass. A reminder email will be sent 2 days before a reservation. You may also choose to receive a text reminder. (Your local library can print out a pass if you are unable to do so.)
